The Fight of My Life

I never would of thought in a million year's, that I would have to fight a court system or my child's father and relative's to be a parent to my own child. Unfortunately, I'm not the only parent that's fighting a system that claim's to protect our children but end up destroying our children and our lives.

My daughter and I went through Parental Alienation for a total of nine year's before her life was taken. My job now is to help other parent's or children, that's going through this type of abuse.

Parental Alienation is a form of psychological abuse where one parent or guardian impedes the relationship between the child and the other parent or guardian. It is the main ingredient of High Conflict Divorce and it makes the children's and parents' lives miserable.

PAS can include but not limited to:

False allegations of abuse Lying about the parent, to the children and anyone who will listen Brainwashing and programming the children to hate the other parent Not allowing visits between the child and parent

The only way to stop this from happening is to start addressing the issues before it gets a chance to get out of control. NYC Parental Alienation Intervention (NYCPASI) provides hope and needed resources for families that can't afford counseling, legal fees, expert testimony, childcare, housing or just a listening ear.

If you or a love one experiencing Parental Alienation there's help available in NYC and you don't have to do it alone. For confidential help and more information about Parental Alienation check out our Facebook page.

  1. How very, very sad. That's the problem with words, Once an accusation is made, it lingers in everyone's mind and never fully goes. I can't imagine the pain and betrayal you must feel.

  7. That sounds so awful. You'd think that both parents would want what's best for the child (which includes a healthy and loving relationship with the other parent), but sadly that's too often not the case. I'm sorry you had to go through this.

  8. I had experience with this when my sister 's ex out of spite claimed false allegations against my sister. I agree when you say the very same court system that is sworn to help ends up becoming used top destroy families.

  9. I am so sorry this happened to you. I just can't imagine the things you had to go through. And thank you for helping others and for doing such a brave thing. What a terrible situation this is and it is sad knowing that there are others out there that do need the help.
