Goodbye August.....Hello September

August I will miss you dearly, but I learned some lessons that will carry me through September. I love the month of September because it reminds me to be gentle with myself and bake lots of goodies for my family.

As I enter September, I'm going to remember these three important lessons that August has taught me

Lesson number 1: Be kind and gentle to yourself because you only have only one you. One way that I'm kind to myself is reading a book that allows me to go to another place.

Lesson number 2: Life isn't always planned exactly the way you wanted it to be. So my favorite motto is when life throws you lemons, just get the sugar and have a wonderful drink.

Lesson number 3: Spend three minutes in silence, it will help you throughout the day. I find this is helpful to keep the noise at a minimal, when I'm trying to get important things done.

I'm looking forward to my top three lessons that I'll learn in September.

So for now, Goodbye, August! I'll see you next year.

  1. That's a happy post :) I love reading books and if the book is gripping enough, I can't put it down until I finish :) I love the lemonade quote too and my silence is when I travel to my work place. Else, I'm all chirpy :P Hope you have a great September! And good luck with the challenge!

  17. Loving yourself is best. However, there are times when you get frustrated and just don't know how to think positive. Family and friends then are the people who should surround you and show you more love.
